Unit 2 What’s this in English?
一) 教學內容
本單元是圍繞如何識別事物這一話題展開聽、說、讀、
寫等多種教學活動。要求學生通過識別事物學會如何用英語拼讀單詞及字母I-R。識別事物這一話題是英語初學者必須要掌握的內容之一,是學生日常生活中必不可少的日常交際用語,來源于學生生活實際的教學主題。通過學習字母、日常生活中有關家居的單詞,培養學生的英語思維能力,以及對事物的辨別能力。
二) 教學目標
1) 知識目標:A.學習并掌握字母I-R;
B.掌握一些學習用品的單詞;
C.學習如何識別事物。
2)能力目標:A.學會在單詞中識別所學字母;
B.學會詢問和識別周圍事物的名稱;
C.學會用簡單的日常用語與人交流。
3)情感目標:通過完成各種教學任務,培養學生對事物的辨別能力。
三)教學重點、難點:
重點:A.學會并掌握字母I-R及map、orange、jacket、key、pen、ruler等單詞。
B.學習并掌握What引導的特殊疑問句。
難點:靈活運用所學的字母,在識別事物的過程中培養學生的辨別能力。
四)教時安排
第一課時:Letters(Ii-Rr)
第二課時:What’s this in English?
第三課時:Section B; Self-check.
Period One
課前準備
教師:準備字母卡片、圖片。
學生:圖畫紙。
Step One: Revision
1.Revice the letters (Aa-Hh).
2.Revice the dialogues: “Good morning/ afternoon/evening.”
“Good morning/ afternoon/evening.” “How are you?” “I am fine. Thanks.”
Step Two: New letters
Present the new letters (Ii-Rr)
1. How to pronounce the letters.
2. How to write the letters.
3. What are the neighbour letters.
This part can according to the book.
Step Three: Drill
1. Listen to the recording of letters and circle the letters you hear.(Book Page 11 3a)
2. Complete the missing letters. (Book Page 11 3b)
Step Four: Task
Discuss the pictures on Page 8 3.

Step One: Revision
Revice the letters(Aa-Rr).With the cards.
Step Two: New words
1.Show the students a picture of Alice’s room with the things around us.(Book Page 7 1b). Teach the nouns: a pen/ruler/key/quilt/map; an orange.
2.Book Page 9 4a. Play the recording of 4a in Section A twice and complete the words.
Step Three:Drill
1. Present the drill: What’s this in English? It’s a/an …
2. Practice this drill with the school things in pairs.
3. Practice this drill in groups.
Step Four:Task
Let students draw a picture with some things in their own rooms, and then give a report to the whole class.
Homework:
Discribe the things in your classroom or in your bedroom.

Step One:Revision
1. Revice the letters (Aa-Rr) with the cards.
2. Revice the dialogue with the picture. “What’s this in English? It’s a/an…”
Step Two:New target language
1.Present the new dialogues with the students’ homework. Then present “Can you spell it, please? Yes, it is …”
2.Practice the similar dialogues in pairs.
Step Three:Drill
1. Book Page 10 2a. Students say out the things in the picture, and then check the answers.
2. Book Page 11 4. Present the pronounciation for the vowel sounds they have learned so far.
3. Practice the vowels, according to the book on Page 11.
Homework:
Try to describe the things in your room, and spell them out.
