　　Taking care of our school and protecting our school environment! A clean and pleasant environment is very important, because it can make us healthy and happy.

　　It’s our duty to protect our school environment. We should clean the school every day. And we shouldn’t drop trash here and there. We should pick it up when we see trash on the ground.

　　We shouldn’t draw on the wall. If we all like our school the same as we like our homes, our school will be more beautiful. We will enjoy our study better. Let’s protect our school environment from now on, shall we?

　　Our modern city is too crowded， and to solve the problem， three proposals are put forward. Most people believe that we should fist practise the policy “Late Marriage” and “One Couple， One Child” in order to reduce the birth rate. Secondly， the city government must have a tight control over rural people entering cities to engage themselves in trade or do various physical jobs so as to lessen the pressure on the city caused by the increased population. Finally more and more people suggest that living blocks with shopping centers， schools， hospitals as well as cinemas and theatres round them or even satellite towns should be built in city suburbs or the countryside round the cities. In this way city citizens will be encouraged to move there to live and work. If these three proposals are well carried out， the city population will be greatly reduced.

　　This phenomenon can easily be found anywhere in our daily life. Many people are used to doing everything with the television on, not actually watching it at all. Such a habit can cause waste of much electricity and energy, and result in the emission of carbon. This deviates from the popular concept of “low carbon life” — to reduce the emission of carbon, especially carbon dioxide, to protect our environment and realize sustainable development. According to statistics, if we can decrease the time for having the television on by one hour each day, we can deduce the amount of carbon emission by 4. 71 kilogram each month。

　　To serve as responsible stewards of the planet, we must promote and popularize a low carbon life among the public from every detail in our daily life. We must change the past practice of sacrificing long-term environmental health for short-term rapid economic development, and shift to developing green economy, circular economy and low carbon economy. 　　In the past, there have been many endangered animals. Now they are extinct. Does it matter? Has our environment been affected by their absence? Has the quality of our own life been changed? The answer to these questions is "Yes." It does matter if we destroy an endangered species habitat to develop more farmland, housing or industrial parks. There is a delicate balance of nature.

　　If one small part is removed, it will affect all the other parts. For example, if certain trees are cut down, bats will have no place to roost. If they cannot roost, they cannot breed. If there are no bats, there will be no animal, or bird to eat certain insects that plague our crops.Our environment has been affected by the absence of certain animals. Certain flowers are pollinated by butterflies which migrate from Canada to Mexico. Some of the breeding grounds of these butterflies were destroyed.

　　Now these flowers are disappearing from certain areas. We will no longer be able to enjoy their beauty.The quality of our life has been changed. America used to be covered with giant trees. Now we have to visit them in one small park. Rainforests around the world are being cut down to make room for humans. We will never be able to see or study this fragile ecosystem.I would encourage us humans to look for other alternatives for our farmlands, housing, and industries. We have alternatives; the animals do not.
