教學過程：
一、導入
老師熱情地問候學生們，歡迎他們在暑假過后回到學校。老師可以詢問學生們在假期里都去了哪些地方，做了哪些事情，有沒有特別有趣的經歷。建議他們通過展示圖片和照片介紹相關的情況，可以使用句型“ It’s a picture of．__It's very?”等。
二、探究新知
1.將本課的掛圖貼在黑板上，播放錄音，呈現SB活動1，讓學生看書，聽聽Daming 和Simon 的對話，聽完之后，讓學生說一說：Who is Simon ? Where is Daming ? What are they doing ?
2.讓學生打開書，放錄音，學生邊聽邊看書，勾畫出課文中的生詞。 教師講解單詞： Postcard more thousand kilometre million Mexico Canada
3.再放錄音，讓學生勾出文中的重要信息，引導學生回答以下問題
（1）明信片上畫的.是哪里？ （2） 關于長城、紐約和北京，他們都談了些什么？
三、鞏固新知
1.講解課文重點句型
（1） These postcards are great .
（2） It’s a picture of the Great Wall .
（3） How long is the Great Wall ? It’s about six thousand seven hundred
kilometers .
（4） How big is Beijing ? It has got eight million people .

本單元我們學習了我國的名勝古跡長城，還學了一些關于提問方面的問題。
